Dunmore's Breakfast and After School Club, known as the Fun Kid's Club (FKC) is a very popular childcare service available for pupils who attend Dunmore School (including Nursery pupils) during school term time. 

Unfortunately, children who are not fully toilet trained (still wearing nappies/pulls up, or having regular 'accidents' that require them to be changed) are not normally able to attend FKC unless the circumstance are exception.

 If you would like your child to start attending FKC, please make sure you complete and return a Permissions Form in advance. You can pick one up from the school office, or you will find it on our website -  FKC Registration Form.   Please note that sessions should be booked at least 8 days in advance to allow time to organise staffing in advance.

The club provides children with flexible opportunities for play, activities and relaxation in a safe and friendly environment. The emphasis is on leisure activities rather than an extension of the normal school day. The club is managed by Nicola Dixey and a team of staff, all employed by the school.

There are two sessions for both the Breakfast and After School Clubs:

 Breakfast Club times and charges per session:

 7.45am to school start - (with breakfast) £5.30

8.15am to school start - £2.65

 After School Club times and charges per session 2023:

School end - 4.30pm - £6.60 (£5.60 for other siblings attending same session)

School end - 5.45pm - £10.60 (£9.60 for other siblings attending same session)

Please note that we are not able to cancel, or swap sessions if your child is unable to attend for any reason with less than 8 days’ notice, unless the circumstances are exceptional.  A fee of £6.00, for every 15 minutes you are late picking up your child, will be charged. If it is the case that you have an emergency and are going to be late, you must let us know please.

 Late Booking facility

We do offer a 'late booking' system if you occasionally forget to book, or have a last minute requirement.  However, we cannot guarantee there will be space. This does not apply to late cancellations, unless the circumstances are exceptional. Please note that this is only available for parents/carers whose children already attend FKC and will be on a 'first come, first served' basis. To request sessions we ask you to email Tina Law - up to 2pm the day before. As part of this change, we do ask that you agree to pay for any sessions booked within 2 days.

Nursery Children

If your child is entitled to the 30-hour nursery provision, and they do not attend Dunmore Nursery for the full 30 hours, any remaining hours can be used to book FKC sessions.  For instance, if your child attends Nursery for 24 hours each week you can then use up to 6 hours at FKC.  When you book you should use code ‘N’ for the session, which has no charge.  If you book more hours than you have left of your original 30, then you must use the chargeable codes.  Please see below how to calculate your remaining hours for FKC sessions.
