Important information for families whose children are entitled to free school meals

Checking your eligibility for free school meals

Due to Covid-19, from September 2020 we will have a reduced menu choice which will still be in line with Government guidelines on healthy eating. Every day there will be a gluten free and vegetarian option. We will only be able to provide hot school meals to children in years Reception, 1 and 2. These children are entitled to a free hot school meal. Unfortunately we cannot provide free packed lunches for these year groups.  We will be able to provide a school packed lunch for all children in Years 3 - 6 for £2.20 per day.  Sandwiches are served on white or wholemeal bread with a choice of fillings. Gluten free rolls are available.  Children are also able to bring in their own packed lunch from home, please ensure that this does not include any nuts.

The current menu will also be displayed on notice boards around the school.

Meals must be paid for in advance weekly or termly. The easiest way to pay for dinners is online. Payments for school dinners can be made through Tucasi scopay.com. https://www.scopay.com   If you are unable to pay online we do accept cheques, made payable to ‘Oxfordshire County Council’ or cash which should be sent into the school office on Monday morning, with the correct change. As always, please send money into school in a sealed envelope, clearly marked with your child’s name, class and the days for which the payments cover.

Pupils whose parents/guardians are in receipt of particular support payments and meet certain criteria may be eligible to receive free school meals. These children will be able to have a hot school meal if they wish, whichever year group they are in. Should you feel you might qualify, please contact the school office for an application form and return this with your proof of entitlement. Original up to date copies must be produced and we are unable to authorise free school meals without the necessary paperwork.
