SCHOOL ADMISSIONS

DUNMORE PRIMARY SCHOOL

Dunmore is a very popular two-form entry primary school with a maximum of 30 children in each class. We are located in Northcourt Road, Abingdon, Oxfordshire OX14 1NR.  There is also easy access via Farm Road, which is off the main Dunmore Road (opposite the Abbey Fields development).

All admissions into Oxfordshire maintained schools are processed through the Oxfordshire County Council's Admissions Team.  

Starting School - Reception Year

Children starting school for the first time in Reception Year will do so in the September following their fourth birthday.  If your child is, or will be, 4 years old by 31 August 2025 you must apply for a school place in Reception Year for September 2025.  You should apply online via Oxfordshire County Council  - Apply for a school place | Oxfordshire County Council.  Applications for September 2025 will be open from Monday 4 November 2024.  If your child attends Dunmore Nursery, please remember that you still have to apply for a place in Reception Year for your child. 

Visits

We warmly welcome visits to our school from prospective parents.  If your child is due to start school in September 2025, our Headteacher, Sam Bartholomew, will be hosting visits from 9am to 10am on the dates below.

If you would like to book a place for any of these visits please contact Kelly Franks. If you are not available for any of these dates, please don't worry as we are more than happy to arrange a visit to suit you.

In-year Transfers

Please contact us if you are thinking of transferring your child to Dunmore as we may have spaces in their year group.
