OxTrail 2024
OxTrail is Oxfordshire’s first ever sculpture trail, raising funds for Sobell House Hospice.
A team of over 30 life-sized ox sculptures will be herded into positions throughout Oxford in the summer of 2024, creating an engaging, exciting event for the city - its residents, businesses and visitors.
Each of the oxen will be uniquely decorated by local and international artists to form a vibrant and family-friendly trail.
Across eight weeks, OxTrail will encourage locals and visitors of all ages to explore Oxford’s iconic attractions, find some hidden gems, and engage with the community.
While the herd of life-sized oxen will be happily grazing throughout Oxford City Centre, Sobell House Hospice would like to engage the rest of the county in this ox-cellent event.
So, Sobell House Hospice have created an ox-ceptional opportunity for schools and youth groups to join the moo-vement by enabling young people to get involved in the creation of mini-herds through the OxTrail Learning Programme.
Dunmore Primary have decided to engage with our community and create our own mini ox. Our pupils will paint the Ox and it will join with a local 'herd' in a public accessible building for 8 weeks, where it will be able displayed for all to see.
In order to obtain a mini Ox, plus access to the resources to assist us in our design plus lesson planning resources to support our children in class, we need to raise £1000.
Our amazing School Council is already engaged in fundraising for this project and we have also decided to set up this go fund me page for anyone who would like to donate!
