Welcome to Dunmore Primary School

This is the homepage of Dunmore Primary School in Abingdon, Oxfordshire. The school opened as a brand new Primary School in January 2008, an amalgamation of Dunmore Infant and Junior schools. The new school is a two form entry primary school (60 places per year) with an additional 30 places in the nursery in each session. The North Abingdon Children’s Centre is also part of the school, offering a range of services for children age 0 -5 and their parents.

We pride ourselves in offering our pupils a first class, all round education. We have high, but realistic, expectations of each child, recognising each individual’s strengths and weaknesses.  You will find a warm and welcoming environment in our school, built on excellent relationships between adults and children.

Please enjoy looking around our website – we try to update it regularly. If you would like to visit us, please get in touch – we hope to see you soon!

SHIFT is an informal group of parents and carers of children with special needs who meet in the North Abingdon Children's Centre at Dunmore. The group gets together fortnightly in term time to chat about the joys and difficulties of parenting a child with special needs. Some weeks professionals pop in for an informal chat and to give information about their services.

We currently have parents attending who have children ranging in age from pre-school to teenagers, attending both mainstream and special schools in Abingdon.

There is always coffee, chat and cake and a friendly welcome. We don't run a creche but preschool children are welcome - there are plenty of toys!

Please check the school events calendar for the date of the next meeting.
