School Houses

The school has a ‘House’ system, each house being named after an Oxfordshire river: Evenlode (Blue), Isis (Green), Windrush (Red) and Cherwell (Yellow). Every child from Reception to Year 6 is placed in a house when they join the school. Siblings are placed in the same house. House captains and vice-captains are elected by the pupils in Year 6 at the start of each academic year.

Pupils are given house points for a wide variety of achievements. At the end of each term the House Point Trophy is awarded to the house with the most points. During the year, we organise numerous events where the children compete in houses, culminating in Sports Day at the end of the school year.
