    Welcome to Nursery!

A very warm welcome from our Nursery Team here at Dunmore Primary. We have lots of fun activities ready for your children, and lots of resources for them to explore, every day!

We are lucky to have a large nursery room, a separate room for lunch and two outdoor areas too. We have lots of different things to play with indoors and outside; for example, role play, construction, sand and water. We love to listen to stories! We tell different stories, such as ‘What Ever Next’, ‘We’re Going on a Bear Hunt’ and ‘Owl Babies’ - these are a few of our favourites.

Please have a look at our Gallery below too!

    About us

Our class leader is Mrs Suzanne Lavender.

We also have wonderful support staff working with us across the week:

    • Mrs Jackie Bailey
    • Miss Georgia Jones
    • Mrs Rachel Keehan

Please try to remember to read our Curriculum Letters below to help support your children's learning.

    General Reminders
    • Please, please make sure your child's clothing, PE Kit and wellies are clearly named.

    • A spare set of clothes would be really helpful in case your child has an accident, or gets very dirty outside.

    • Leave a pair of wellies (clearly named) to be left in nursery, so they can play outside whatever the weather.
    • Bring water bottles (filled with fresh water every day).

    • In colder weather, please send your child to nursery with a warm coat (preferably waterproof), along with a hat and gloves if it is very cold.
    • In warmer weather, please send your child to nursery with a hat, and apply sun-cream before nursery, as we are not able to apply it at nursery, unfortunately.

Please read our Curriculum Letters so that you can help to support your children's learning.  We publish a new one each term so you can see what your child is learning throughout the year!

    Hungry Little Minds

Many little things light up hungry little minds. Children take everything in, and even the smallest things parent/carers do with them can make a big difference.
