For school lunches, we offer a 3-week rotating menu. The selection of foods available is in line with government guidelines on healthy eating. Every day there is a gluten-free and vegetarian option. Hot school meals are available to all children and, for years 3 to 6, the alternative option of a school-packed lunch is also available. The cost for children in Years 3 to 6 is £2.65 per day. Children in Reception, Year 1 and 2 are entitled to a free hot school meal. Unfortunately, we cannot provide free school-packed lunches for these year groups. Sandwiches are served on white or wholemeal bread with a choice of fillings. Gluten-free rolls are available. Children are also able to bring in their own packed lunch from home. Please do not include any nuts or products, including nuts and sesame, (such as nut spreads and hummus). We try to promote and educate children on healthy eating, so please try to send your child to school with an appropriately filled lunchbox. There is a 'Healthy Eating' leaflet below where you might find some ideas. Please note that we cannot heat food sent in from home for your children. If you prefer them to have a hot lunch, we do provide freshly cooked hot food as above. |
The current menu will be displayed on notice boards around the school.
Meals must be paid for in advance, weekly or termly. The easiest way to pay for dinners is online. At this time, you can pay for, but not book school dinners, online. Payments can be made through Tucasi scopay.com. https://www.scopay.com. If you haven't yet registered with Scopay, you will need a 'link code' from us to do so. Pupils whose parents/guardians are in receipt of particular support payments and meet certain criteria, may be eligible to receive free school meals. These children will be able to have a hot school meal if they wish, whichever year group they are in. Should you feel you might qualify, please contact the school office for an application form and return this with your proof of entitlement. Original up-to-date copies must be produced. We are unable to authorise free school meals without the necessary paperwork. |
