DUNMORE NURSERY CLASS

The Published Admission Number (PAN) for Dunmore Nursery is 78 part-time equivalent (pte) places.

Welcome and thank you for your interest in our nursery class!

Dunmore Nursery is part of the Early Years provision at Dunmore Primary School, based in Northcourt Road, Abingdon.  There is also easy access via Farm Road, South Avenue, Holland Road and Sellwood Road in the morning and afternoon through a back entrance to our site.  We are also within easy walking/driving distance from the new developments in North Abingdon.

• We offer extra paid hours for those parents who are not entitled to the 30-hour provision (subject to availability).

We are very proud of our nursery provision, which has lots of open space, inviting activities and exciting outdoor areas.  We have experienced staff who provide excellent Early Years Education for the children whilst also caring for their individual needs in a calm and nurturing way.  We also strive to ensure that they, and their parents/carers, feel part of the whole experience of being part of an Early Years & Primary School setting.

APPLICATIONS 

Our Nursery Class is now full until the end of this academic year so, unfortunately, we are not able to offer an April 2026 start.  However, we are now accepting applications for our next intake in September 2026.  If your child is, or will be, 3 years old by 31 August 2026 you can apply for a place in our Nursery Class from September 2026.  If you are interested, please complete the 'Expression of Interest' form (below) and email to Tina Law.

Admissions into nursery are processed by the school, rather than the local authority, so please contact us if you are interested in your child joining the class.  If places are over-subscribed, we will adopt our Nursery Admissions Policy, which can be viewed below. 

Children are admitted into our nursery class at the beginning of the term after their 3rd birthday, for at least 15 hours of free nursery provision each week (term time only). We also offer up to an additional 15 hours if parents are entitled to the extended 30-hour provision. We may be able to offer parents extra paid sessions for their child if they are not eligible, but this is subject to availability. 

PLEASE NOTE that attendance in a school nursery does not automatically entitle your child to a place in a Reception year class at Dunmore Primary School. You still have to apply for this through the Oxfordshire Council - School Applications - Oxfordshire
