  • Travelling to School

Our aim is to encourage safe, active and sustainable travel to school wherever possible.

Parents/carers are encouraged to walk, cycle or scooter with their children. We have a bike and scooter shed on site for pupils and are installing two ‘drop off time’ bike sheds at each entrance to the school, specifically for parents/carers who would like to cycle with their children to school and need somewhere to leave their cycles while they drop their children on site.

Please find the link below to the Highway Code for pedestrians, for those who are walking on their journey:

    https://www.highwaycodeuk.co.uk/rules-for-pedestrians.html

There is a visitors' car park on site, but access to this is closed at drop-off and pick-up times, to make the site safer and to minimise air pollution in the immediate area, while our pupils are travelling to and from the school site.
Parents/carers wishing to drop and collect their children by car must do so beyond the school gate but without 'idling' or causing disruption to our neighbours. (Idling is when you are in a car and the engine is on, even though you are not moving your car, such as when you are stuck in traffic or dropping someone off).

Oxfordshire County Council request that we report any cars causing issues with the movement of traffic and in the streets of our local neighbourhood, at school drop off and pick-up times.
