OxTrail was Oxfordshire’s first ever sculpture trail, raising funds for Sobell House Hospice in Oxford.
A team of over 30 life-sized ox sculptures were herded into positions throughout Oxford in the summer of 2024, creating an engaging, exciting event for the city - its residents, businesses and visitors.
Each of the oxen were uniquely decorated by local and international artists to form a vibrant and family-friendly trail.
Dunmore Primary decided to engage with the community and create our own mini-ox. Our pupils painted the ox, and it joined with a local 'herd' in a publicly accessible building for 8 weeks, where it was displayed for all to see.
In order to obtain the mini-Ox, plus access to the resources that assisted us in our design, we had to raise £1000.
Our amazing School Council was fully engaged in fundraising for this project and set up a go fund me page for anyone who wanted to donate!
We raised over £1000!
We painted our ox, and it is now at the entrance to the School Office for all to see. It's name is Dunox!
