Welcome to French!

At Dunmore Primary School, our teaching of French is supported using the resources from the ‘French with Mr Innes’ programme https://frenchwithmrinnes.com/. This programme supports the National Curriculum’s Foreign Language expectations in Key Stage 2. The programme has a holistic approach to support the attainment of the National Curriculum aims. As such, each aim is progressively attained by learners over the course of the four-year programme. In line with the National Curriculum values, French with Mr Innes focuses on practical communication, with a fun and authentic approach through videos based in Paris, flashcards, worksheets, games and challenges. The programme seeks to equip KS2 pupils to be ready for further French learning in KS3. Over the course of French with Mr Innes, learners will be able understand and communicate ideas, facts and feelings in speech and writing through their knowledge of phonics, grammar and vocabulary.
