I am proud to be the Headteacher of our successful, friendly, inclusive and happy school, which is built on excellent relationships between adults and children. We currently have over 400 pupils in our school, which includes over forty children in our nursery class. We are located in Northcourt Road, Abingdon, OX14 1NR. There is also easy access via Farm Road, which is off Dunmore Road (opposite the new Abbey Fields Development).

Our intention is that children are inspired in their learning each and every day, hence ‘Great to be inspired, Inspired to be Great’. It is our ambition through our collective responsibility that we empower and enable children to be great, giving them the skills and knowledge to enjoy each day and be prepared for their life ahead.

In Autumn 2024, we consulted all stakeholder groups to establish three core values that are embedded throughout our school life. These are Kindness, Courage and Curiosity. As our children ‘meet’ different people through the curriculum, we share how each of these inspirational people have demonstrated these values. Our aim is by fostering courage and curiosity, children are inspired by the possibilities and experiences in the world around them as well as being kind to the people and environment around us.

At Dunmore, we believe it is vital that parents, children and staff work together in order for each child to reach their potential by ensuring that children attend regularly, and learning opportunities are taken at school and at home.
