    Welcome to Year 4!
    The year 4 teachers are:

    Class 9

    • Mrs Liza Mitchell (Monday to Wednesday)
    • Dr Amy Strange (Wednesday to Friday)

    Class 10

    • Miss Sarah Clark (Monday to Friday)

    We have great TAs; Mrs Simmonds, Mrs Allsopp, Mrs Dix, Mrs Brewer, Mrs Dempsey and Mrs Croft, who support our Year 4 children and their learning.  

    During teacher PPA time on Thursday afternoons, children will be taught by a music specialist, Mrs Scaber, and Mrs Slater, who will teach R.E. 

    Homework 

    • Spellings lists for the term are given out at the start of the term and tested weekly.  

    • We expect children to go on to TTRS (Times Table Rock Stars) for at least 20 minutes a week. In addition, there will be a short maths task for some weeks.

    • Reading records are checked every Monday by the teacher. We expect your child to have 3 entries in their reading records, with at least one of these to be signed by an adult. 

    General Reminders 
    • PE is on Monday (Class 10 Swimming Term 1-2, Class 9 Swimming Term 3-4) and Friday.
    • Water bottles - please ensure your child has a named water bottle in school every day.
    • Please name label all uniforms and PE kit.
