Dunmore's Breakfast and After School Club, known as 'Fun Kid's Club' (FKC), is our very popular childcare service available for pupils who attend Dunmore School (including nursery pupils) during school term time. Unfortunately, children who are not fully toilet-trained (still wearing nappies/pulls up, or having regular 'accidents' that require them to be changed) are not normally able to attend FKC, unless the circumstances are exceptional.

If you would like your child to start attending FKC, please complete and return a registration form. You can find one at the bottom of this page, or you can pick one up from the School Office. Please note that sessions should be booked (or cancelled) at least 8 days in advance to allow time to organise staffing.

The club provides children with flexible opportunities to play, to join in activities and to relax in a safe and friendly environment. The emphasis is on leisure activities rather than an extension of the normal school day. The club is managed by Nicola Dixey and a team of staff, some of whom also work in the school.

The session times and charges until the end of the current academic year are:

BREAKFAST CLUB :

7.45am until the start of school - (with breakfast) £5.30

8.15am until the start of school - £2.65

AFTER SCHOOL CLUB :

End of school until 4.30pm - £6.60 (Full price for 1st child, then £5.60 for other siblings attending the same session)

End of school until 5.45pm - £10.60 (Full price for 1st child, then £9.60 for other siblings attending the same session)

LATE BOOKINGS

We offer a 'late booking' facility if you occasionally forget to book, or have a last-minute requirement.  However, we cannot guarantee there will always be space. This does not apply to late cancellations, which need to be done at least 8 days in advance (unless the circumstances are exceptional). Please note that this is only available to parents/carers whose children already attend FKC, and is allocated on a 'first come, first served' basis. To request sessions, please email Tina Law, up to 2pm the day before the day you need it. All late sessions must be paid within 2 days of booking.

IMPORTANT CHANGES FROM SEPTEMBER 2026

Due to increasing running costs, and to improve our staffing structure, we have taken the decision to make changes to the FKC bookable sessions/charges. We have researched the local market and taken those findings, and our running costs, into consideration and feel that the new structure will be fair to parents and more workable for the school.  From September 2026 the sessions and charges will be:

BREAKFAST CLUB:

7.45am until the start of school (breakfast included up to 8.15am) - £5.30

AFTER SCHOOL CLUB:

End of school until 5.00pm - £9.60 (snack included)

Follow on session 5pm to 5.45pm - £4.00 (add-on to previous session)

PLEASE NOTE

• We are not able to cancel, or swap sessions, if your child is unable to attend a session with less than 8 days’ notice, unless the circumstances are exceptional.  
• A fee of £6.00, for every 15 minutes you are late picking up your child, will be charged. If you have an emergency and are going to be late, you must let us know.
• If children arrive at a session they are not booked into, an extra 50% charge will be added.
