Nursery Admissions

DUNMORE NURSERY CLASS

Welcome and thank you for your interest in our nursery!

Dunmore nursery is located in Northcourt Road, Abingdon, Oxfordshire OX14 1NR. There is also easy access via Farm Road, which is off the main Dunmore Road (opposite the Abbey Fields development).

We are very proud of our setting, we have lots of space, activities, outdoor areas and equipment. We also have our wonderful, dedicated and experienced staff. We welcome visits so please do contact us if you would like to arrange one. You can do this either by email - tlaw1625@dunmore.oxon.sch.uk phone - 01235 520550.

Admissions into nursery are dealt with directly by us, so please contact us if you are interested in our nursery. However, admissions into school full-time, (Reception to Year 6) are processed by Oxfordshire County Council's Admissions Team.

Universal Early Education Funding entitlement starts at the beginning of the term after the child’s 3rd birthday, providing at least 15 hours free nursery provision. We also offer up to an additional 15 hours for parents entitled to the extended 30 hours provision (please see the Nursery Provision attachment below for more information). Please note that we do not split nursery hours with any other early years settings.

PLEASE NOTE that attendance in a school nursery does not automatically entitle your child to a place in a Reception year class at Dunmore, you still have to apply for this through the Oxfordshire Council - - https://www.oxfordshire.gov.uk/residents/schools/starting-school/infant-and-primary-school. If your child is or will be 4 by 31 August 2023, you will need to apply for a place in Reception Year as soon as possible.

Our next nursery intake will be September 2023 for children who will be at least 3 years old by 31 August 2023.

Dunmore Nursery is an Oxfordshire Council maintained nursery, and is part of the early years provision at Dunmore Primary School, based in Northcourt Road, Abingdon.

We do sometimes get confused with Dunmore Pre-School, based in Farm Road, Abingdon. Dunmore Pre-School is a charity based pre-school and is quite separate from our nursery.
