  • Relationships Education

    Mon 23 Nov 2020 S. Bartholomew

From September 2020, all primary schools have been required to teach Relationships Education. During the summer term, we drafted a policy for parents/carers to consider and made it available on the school website. We are aware that during June that parents/carers might not have been able to look at this policy so before the policy is approved by the governing body we are asking for any parental feedback. The policy is available on this link: Relationships Education

If you have any comments then please email them to directly to head.3861@dunmore.oxon.sch.uk If you have a question, then we will either respond to the question individually or if there is a need then we will hold a ‘Zoom’ meeting to answer these questions. Please can we receive any comments or questions by Wednesday 2nd December. Thank you.

  • Sports Equipment Donation - JLLighting

Wed 21 Oct 2020 Sam Bartholomew

JLLighting, a local company based in Berinsfield, have recently supported local primary schools by donating a large amount of sports equipment.  The equipment, which is no longer needed, was used on a recent television shoot.

The local schools, Abbey Woods Academy, Berinsfield, and Dunmore Primary, Abingdon, received a range of equipment including cones, balls, running ladders, dribbling poles and more.

MD Jack Linaker said "We know it's been a tough year for young children in education and we were pleased we were able to donate this great equipment within our local community."

It was such a wonderful surprise to receive the gifts from JLLighting. This sports equipment will make a fantastic addition to the resources we will have to use in our PE curriculum. We look forward to using this equipment, as we know the children will enjoy it immensely. - Sam Bartholomew, Head Teacher

My Back to School Bubble’ aims to help children understand the new protective measures that will be in place at Dunmore in an age-appropriate way. It reinforces public health messages including the importance of hand and respiratory hygiene, while reassuring children that everyone makes mistakes, helping to combat any feelings of anxiety, that have been reported by parents.
